Two of the biggest donations come from two French families in the fashion luxury business. François-Henri Pinault, the 56 year-old C.E.O. of Paris-based luxury goods group Kering, which owns brands like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, and his Family announced a donation of around 113 million dollars and Bernard Arnault and his family, owners of the luxury conglomerate LVMH, announced a donation of 226 million dollars.
