Recently we’ve seen the rise of AI virtual influencers (such as Instagram’s @lilmiquela), fabric laser cutters and virtual reality apps — Burberry last year collaborated with graphic artist Danny Sangra to create a “Burberry world” iPhone app. The most popular innovation? Three-dimensional scanning, which luxury brands are exploiting to boost sales, create more refined and intricate products and decrease their carbon footprints.
