Fabric that changes colour to fit your mood
ChroMophus is a new innovation in the textile industry. It uses a textile technology that allowes the consumer to change colour of fabric on demand using the app.
Produced in Melbourne, Florida the fibers are created from raw materials using machines that spin fibers for textiles. After shipping the fibers to the mills, it is waved using regular industrial-scal weaving machines. While it is produced with traditional machinery, the machine is hacked to run a micro-wire insid each thread so that running a current raises the local temperatur a little bit - which is enough for a thermochromic pigment to switch colour.
